I would be okay with that, except that I felt Korra's apology later kind of undercut that arc. Yes, she is being difficult, but Mako got to have the last word of "yup, being your boyfriend is SUPER HARD" without acknowledging that he wasn't exactly being the paragon of usefulness that he thinks he is.
