What made her so sure Tenzin was her soulmate?

This! I was OK with most of what she said, but I gave Pema a look when she said that she couldn't stand her soulmate being with someone else. There's supposed to be a sixteen year age gap between the two, right? How could she have known at a young age that Tenzin was the guy for her? O.o
