I love this! I love how you tied some of the current events Korra faces to history, like Aang first taking bending and that having ramifications in Korra's world. And then Aang and Korra both use the same concept in a positive way, to restore bending. There's a great sense of long history and the struggles of past Avatars, which is really awesome.

Fantastic! I loved the song choice, and I really like how you showed Aang's imperfections. Korra has to live up to his example in some ways, but he screwed things up too; she's different, not an imperfect copy.

Thank you! And, yeah, Aang's legacy did a lot of good, but Korra also inherited some serious problems of her own through some of his actions -- just as Aang inherited a lot of crap from Roku.

It makes me think of Galdalf: It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. Excellent vid! You really brought out the struggle Korra feels to live up to the other Avatars, but also the conflict of the messy world they left her -- particularly Aang. Great use of clips and movements which echo and parallel each other, to reinforce themes of reincarnation and repetition.

This is so utterly perfect - perfect song, perfect clips, perfect overarching theme. I think I may have screamed when you paralleled Aang and Ozai, Aang and Yakone, and Amon and Lin, the themes of loss and defeat, "what measure is removing one's bending?". And oh, the friendship clips, with the Gaang and Korra with her friends.

Thank you so much! There were originally going to be a LOT more Gaang/Team Avatar parallels, but they started pulling too much focus away from the central theme, so I wound up tightening the focus primarily onto the Avatar line.

Its perfection has me in tears, seriously. The movement between the two shows, the immaculate pairing of clips and lyric. And the Indigo Girls! Late to the party, but: this is an excellent vid! I especially love the parallelling of Korra learning the ~airbending moves~ with Aang airbending. And the bit with the yin-yang fish. And all the bending displays and Avatar states at the end! Love the choice of music – it's very avatar spirit-y.
