Korra Discussion Post: Skeletons in the Closet & Endgame
The two-part season finale of Korra airs today! Spoilery discussion below.
Although we've reached the end of the season, do be mindful that not everyone will be able to catch up at the same time and continue to mark for spoilers when posting to the comm. Thank you! <3

Yeah, exactly. He had a legitimate point earlier that his behaviour toward Korra wasn't inherently sketch (though refusing to discuss it with Asami made him more of a dick), but this shit totally was. You can't make the last scene of an established couple be them discussing how much they care without saying a word about breaking up, and then have one of them kissing someone else! I like to believe that in the time between Amon's death and Korra getting her bending back, Asami and Mako did break up because otherwise it says some pretty awful things about both him and Korra, but why on earth didn't they put it in the show? If Asami giving him a peck on the cheek was supposed to be break-up coding, all I can say is that that's not enough and only encourages the baffling code-breaker view of relationship communication.

I could accept starting a character out as having a temper and some screwy thought processes, but you'd think there would kind of be some character growth along the line? Instead, he's gotten a season pass for dick behavior. IDGI.
